After what you said about art films the other day,

I felt compelled to write this post.

Ahem. Art films DO NOT tell lies. They DO NOT promote falsehood
or attempt to convince us of the nature of surreality and fantasy
(It only happens for art's sake, but the rest,
we humans can figure out the truth quite easily.)

In fact, art cinema is a very reliable genre
in which eye-openers are known to be displayed,
where the vulnerability and susceptibility of humanism
is captured on screen, and translated beautifully into
the minds of the viewers.

Art cinema in Asia and Europe are usually very ambitious.
Directors tend to have something to say about a serious topic,
and they tell it like it is.
"Furthermore, the general perception is that a certain degree of
experience and intellect are required
to understand or appreciate such films - in contrary to regular
main stream movies, which are geared more towards escapism
and pure entertainment."

Escapism. HAH! Falsehood my a$$.

P.S. note EXPERIENCE and INTELLECT required.
